Estimated Birthday: 6/30/09
Affectionate boy. Will follow you all over, and sit on your lap.Enjoys playtime with a feather toy on a string.Likes to playfully nip, too -- especially toes! But responds well to gentle discouragement.Rescued from a high-kill Los Angeles County shelter, where his owner brought him with a raging case of mange. Now happy and healthy, the only reminder of his former problems are a ""squinitiness"" to his eyes that remains even after all his medical treatments have long since been completed. It don't bother him none, though!Unfortunately, Jinglebell has tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), an immunosuppressive virus which could possibly result in greater susceptibility to disease and a shorter lifespan down the road (though most FIV+ cats live long and healthy lives). FIV can also be communicated between cats by biting, so if he were to go to a home with another cat it would need to be a cat that is nonaggressive so that there is no real chance of a bite occurring. We're happy to provide you with more information about FIV -- just ask!Adoption fee waived for the right home.
