GENDER: Female (sterilized)
BREED: Domestic Short Hair tortoiseshell
DOB: 4/25/10
LITTER: ab233
  • A most interesting-looking kitten -- she does look just like an opossum!
  • Opossum has tested a very faint positive for the feline leukemia virus. Given that all of her littermates have tested negative, it is likely that she will also resist the virus and ultimately be leukemia negative. That cannot be assumed, however, and she must be considered at this point to be leukemia positive, so she cannot be with other cats. If she does have the disease, she will have a significantly reduced lifespan. If not, a normal lifespan is expected.
  • Right now she needs an indoor home that will treat her like any other kitten, with lots of love, treats and playtime.
  • Opossum is a sweet girl, super active and playful, and purrs readily in your arms. Getting her into your arms can be a bit of a challenge, though. She's quite shy, and will take some time, confinement and patience for her to trust you and approach you. She'll definitely do better in a quieter home, though lots of playtime is essential.
  • Opossum would do okay as the only kitty in a home where there are people around most of the time, but she's especially love to have a kitty friend to romp with.
  • Her adoption fee is greatly reduced for the right home, though extra donations toward her care are gratefully accepted.
  • I can grow up as an only-kitten cat.

Consider taking me home with one of my litter mates:
